Mini-VBS is our Vacation Bible School for rising 3 year olds, whose parent volunteers at least 2 days during VBS.

The hours are the same (9am-12:30pm) and much of the experience is the same. Children have a modified schedule of music, crafts, Bible storytelling and playground time. If you volunteer 2 or more days during VBS, your rising 3 year old can attend mini-VBS all four days! 

Children must be 3 by August 31st. The non-refundable camp fee of $55 per child includes t-shirt, camp bag, music cd and morning activities.  

Registration opens March 2nd for MPPC church members, and March 16th for non-church members. No registrations after March 23rd.

Note:  Child & Youth Protection certification is required for all adult volunteers during VBS. Certification will be offered before the camp week.

Vacation Bible School Volunteer Descriptions

 
Recreation:
Volunteers will coordinate indoor and outdoor games. Some game stations may be set-up
outside, so please dress accordingly and wear athletic shoes.

Music:
Volunteers will teach and perform songs and dances from the VBS cd. The dances are highenergy,
so please wear athletic apparel and tennis shoes.

Wild Bible Adventure:
Volunteers will re-enact and narrate stories from the Bible. You may be asked to act or use
props in the performance.

Mission Center:
Volunteers will facilitate daily service and outreach projects. This year we will address the theme
of helping local neighbors in our community.

Guide:
Volunteers will lead their designated group of children throughout the daily VBS activities. They
will greet children in the classroom, walk them from station to station, and facilitate snack and
lunch.

Floater:
Volunteers will be asked to help out in any of the classrooms or stations as needed. You will not
know your assignment in advance, so be prepared to go to any of the above stations and stay
for the day. You may not be placed with your child’s group. Please wear athletic apparel and
tennis shoes.

Decorations/Prep:
Volunteers are asked to be at church before VBS begins to complete assigned tasks. Prep
volunteers will meet on a weeknight prior to VBS. Decorations volunteers will set-up on Sunday,
June 14 after the 10 am service.

Mission Kids:
Rising 4th and 5th graders, or Mission Kids, will have the opportunity to serve the community
off-campus. In order to volunteer with Mission Kids, we ask that you sign up for two days, either
Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday. We may not be able to accommodate everyone who
registers for this due to limited space.
