Speaking with our aging or terminally ill loved ones about end of life planning is a conversation which does not come easily to most of us, but being prepared for this stage of life makes it much easier to navigate when the time comes. Join us after worship on Sunday, April 23 as Chaplain Michael Flynn and Nurse Practitioner Siri Thomas, both of Novant Health, speak with us on end of life planning. Both Siri and Michael have experience in hospice and palliative care and will share with us on topics including: How is a DNR order different from an advance directive? How is palliative care different from hospice care? How will I know when it’s time to speak with my loved one about their final wishes?
Reservations are not required, but are suggested. For questions, contact our Parish Associate, Rev. Alison Messick-Watkins at AMessick-Watkins@myersparkpres.org.
